As in lots of other villages in Switzerland the fire brigade in Ettingen fulfils several tasks. In case of fire, road traffic accidents, storm damage, oil spillage, chemical accidents and other incidents a motivated and well trained crew provides help.
The removal of wasps’ and bees’ nests is a special service provided in summer. The commune charges only for actual costs incurred.
The Commune Ettingen has a new fire station and several new vehicles as well as modern equipment which have been acquired with reference to local needs and which have already proven their worth on various occasions.
Exercises are always carried out on a Wednesday evening. Recruit training, a spring exercise and the main exercise are always carried out on a Saturday afternoon.
